The Pacific Union Financial Capitalists (P.U.F. Caps) are currently recruiting host families to house some of the top 2019 High School graduates in the country for this upcoming summer. Summer baseball is extremely important to a player’s development on and off the field. This would give Bay Area families an opportunity to help out an aspiring Major League Baseball player and house responsible players that are traveling from all over the country to the Bay Area for the summer! The Caps are the only High School team that plays in a collegiate league in the country!

Having played and coached in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League and Alaskan Baseball League, I still keep in contact with the families that hosted me 20 years ago. My Cape Cod Baseball League host family still hosts players to this day and had current Boston Red Sox/6x All-Star Pitcher Chris Sale in the summer of 2009. In addition, they hosted SF Giants 1st round pick Phil Bickford in the summer of 2014 (Bickford was a 1st rounder in ’15). I personally know players and baseball host families have found the experience to be very rewarding. This experience has helped me and many others throughout their baseball career.

Hosting a Caps’ player involves providing a college baseball player with lodging for 7 weeks during the summer. Our schedule runs from mid June until early August. The 2019 Caps play on the road quite often this summer (click the link to our schedule), so Caps players stay with their Host Family for less than 40 nights this summer. Each Capitalist player will act as part of the family. He will abide by all household rules, have his own chores and will be a tremendous addition to the family!

I personally know each Capitalist player and we are not only bringing in some of the most talented baseball players in the nation, but first-class young adults.

This is an outstanding experience for everyone involved! If you have an extra room or bed and want to help the P.U.F. Caps please contact me at mikezirelli@gmail.com And, yes, we take player requests!! Thanks for your support!!
